Adaptec 3805  RAID卡测试报告

基本信息

支持8块SAS或者SATA硬盘；每个接口3Gb/s；

PCI-E 4X主机接口；LowProfile 尺寸：2.5" H x 6.6" L (64mm x 167 mm)；

128M DDR2内存；支持RAID 0, 1, 1E, 5, 5EE, 6, 10, 50, 60, JBOD；

支持快速初始化背景初始化，RAID级别在线迁移，在线扩容，支持最大化磁盘利用律；

支持NCQ，支持自动重建（有Spare盘的情况下），支持最大512TB array大小；

支持SAS和SATA硬盘做一个array，支持Redundant path failover。

工作电压：1 amp @ 3.3V ；RHOST标准兼容；

测试过程

1，测试过程中发现：

添加一个新硬盘，要重新扫描两次才能识别到；

在Ctral+A控制界面，将一个单硬盘Volume误删以后，立即再用该单硬盘做Volume，参数与原先相同，发现该硬盘上原有的Vista系统已经不能引导。千万注意。

2，带电状态，把RAID或者Volume成员盘热拔出，有可能导致整个RAID消失。

所以千万注意，不要在带电状态把硬盘拔出来，虽然支持热插拔，这样会让硬盘上的RAID配置信息丢失。可以在关机断电以后拔插。

Drives containing an array or volume should never be moved from one controller to another while the power is on. Doing so could cause the loss of the array configuration or data or both. Instead power off both systems/controllers and move the drives then restart.

在关机状态，把做好RAID0的两块硬盘更换插槽、或者换一块背板，甚至把数据线从RAID卡的conector1换到connector2上，然后开机，自检到RADI卡时，会有报警提示：One or more  driver has moved to different location。确认即可，Ctrl+A进入配置界面，RAID还在，分区和数据完好，也能启动到OS。

3，在windows或者linux使用ASM(Adaptec Storage Manager)管理软件管理RIAD卡时，有以下几点需要注意：

1)这个管理软件需要机器连接到网络并且在OS火墙里允许相应的端口开放.

2)有分区有数据的RAID不能在这个管理软件里删除，只能到Ctrl+A界面删除。

3)一个RAID中既有SAS又有SATA硬盘，这个RAID会用黄色！标示，但不影响使用。

4，WD硬盘在Adaptec 3805 RAID卡上会出现莫名其妙的掉盘现象，而后又可以参与重建或新建RAID。Adaptec网站上的帖子：

方案：升级WD硬盘的Firware.
